I have been working my intellectual tail off for the past couple of weeks. I wish I could say I was writing but alas I was not, well kind of. I have been plotting out two projects and getting the details right. First, I have plotted out the story for the novella, Interlude: Homecoming book 2.5 of the Sacred Land Saga. I think fans will be pleased with inclusion of answers to burning questions that they may have about that series. Lots is revealed without spoiling the BIG surprises later in the series. Second, I have been working on the plot line of the re-vamped Wielder Cycle. Back in 2007 book 1 Wielder: Apprentice was released as a back-story to the early life of Lady Shey. I left it pretty much unchanged as the back-story I wrote for the Sacred Land Saga. It was under 100 pages and I felt it was never really a c0mplete story so I shelved it (it's unavailable for purchase now). But, as luck would have it, it appears on my goodreads page and someone rated it. So, I figured that I needed to at least get the NEW Wielder: Apprentice completed and available to take the place of the inferior book from 2007. To the left is the new cover. It will be a three book series, but I will not finish writing book 2 and book 3 until after I get the rest of the Sacred Land Saga written and finished. So, in a few months Wielder: Apprentice and Interlude: Homecoming will be released very close to each other. I am working as fast as I can and the plot and story lines for both books are great! I will get back to the writing process in the next day or so. Oh yeah, it should be noted that because I used previous material, Wielder: Apprentice is about 55% written. I have only written the first two chapters of Interlude so far, but I have 95% of the story plotted out. I may put up some teaser chapters soon on my webpage. http://marktyson.weebly.com.
